No labels remains in this fabulous authentic vintage swimsuit from the 1950's. Yet it has the look and feel of vintage Catalina or a similar label from the same era. Fabric is 100% cotton. Print is a mid century rendering of palm trees and tiki symbols.
This adorable swimsuit boasts a double contrast ruffle trimming at the bust, with two darling petite bows.
Bodice is lined with white cotton and has bullet-bra seaming and boning. Smocked back. Hawaiian sarong styling with a halter strap that buttons on one side of the bodice. The waistline is artfully draped with a cross-over "sarong skirt" panel over cute bubble-cut bottoms. Nylon lining in gusset.
There is some wear and some fade to the cotton fabric of this suit. It is consistent with the age of the garment. (some 60 years old!) It has also been taken in on one side to be made smaller by the previous owner.
