Designer's notes: "According to the Victorian book, 'Language of Flowers,' the message conveyed by the pansy is fond remembrance. (French—'pansee' is to think or ponder.) The pansy flower is also the logo for Shelley's jewelry line for the breadth of historical jewelry, which inspires her own designs. This trio of little pansy faces is enameled in fanciful colors of turquoise, coral and blue. Each is a miniature rendering, beginning with a yellowy center, which blends into several values of petal color, just like in nature. Crystal beads of rose, citrine and aqua alternate with loop-link chain and dangle in clusters between the flowers. Pale French silver metal finish is hand-burnished."
