-The black leather-like material is really recycled tire rubber. The material is very soft and supple with a suede-like finish. With use, it will burnish to a low gloss.
Special care instructions for the recycled rubber:
-Use soap and water or a little tire protectant such as Armour All. This will help aide with the shine, but it is not necessary. However, keep the rubber out of hot direct sun. Do not store it in a really hot area (next to a radiator for example.) This can cause the rubber to develop cracks. Rubber, like pearls, likes to be used!
